ON WATCH® 24/7 Recording Solar Floodlight PTZ Security Camera Wireless Outdoor, Motion-Activated Alert/2000LM Floodlight/105dB Siren, 360° Pan/Tilt, 2K Resolution, Live HD View, Two-Way Talk, 2.4 GHz WiFi, No Monthly Fee, Local Storage with 128 GB SD Card

Detailed Description

  • [Subscription-free 24/7 recording and Local Storage with 128 GB microSD Card Included] Never miss a moment, even when motion is too far to be detected. Videos are recorded in approximately 120-second segments. Recordings can be saved locally in a MicroSD card (not included, supporting 128 GB max) and replayed in the UBox app and downloaded to your phone or tablet. The oldest videos are automatically overwritten when the MicroSD card is nearly full. No subscription is needed if videos are stored in a MicroSD card only.
  • [2K resolution PTZ camera with full-color/infrared night vision] Delivers clear view day and night. Pan the camera 355°, tilt 90°, and zoom digitally via the app to view around without manual twisting. Pans/tilts automatically to track human movement when human tracking is turned on (see notes later for limitation). Standard definition (640 x 360) view is available for a fast connection and live view with limited bandwidth.
  • [Three-panel 1500 lumens and 6500k daylight floodlight] Illuminates up to 4000 square feet at night. Each panel can be adjusted individually. When using full-color night vision, the floodlight will be in ambient-lighting mode from dusk to dawn for nonstop full-color night recording, and activated to the max-brightness mode when motion is detected or a user starts a live review via the app. Infrared night vision is available for light sensitive areas.
  • [Receive motion-activated notifications with AI human detection/tracking] Opt for receiving motion-activated notifications on your phone (or tablet) anytime and anywhere. Passive infrared motion sensor detects motion from large animal, human, vehicle, etc. up to 30 feet away. Turn on human detection to receive notifications caused by human only. Experimental human tracking is available, note that, however, the camera currently does not reset its position after tracking.
  • [Deter theft/break-ins with 105 dB Siren, 1500 lumens floodlight and two-way talk] When the alarm is turned on, the siren will sound when motion is detected. The floodlight will also be activated to the full-brightness mode at night if full-color night vision is chosen. Warn off trespassers via two-way real-time talk.
  • [Powered by two 8 Watt high-efficiency solar panels and a 20000 mAh battery Lithium ion rechargeable battery] The two solar panels with 3-4 hours of direct sunlight exposure each day ensure that the camera can record 24/7 nonstop. The 10-ft power cable from each solar panel allows for optimal position of the solar panels. The large capacity battery provides redundancy so that the camera continues working after days of rain or overcast.
  • [Connected via 2.4 GHz WiFi] Install it anywhere with WiFi coverage and sunshine without the hassle of hardwiring. 2.4 GHz WiFi generally has a longer range than 5 GHz WiFi so you can put your camera further away from the router. For best results, ensure at least two-bar WiFi signal at the location where you mount the camera. Signal strength can be viewed in the app.
  • [One setup, many uses via the app] Two-way talk in real-time with visitors. Take photos and videos, which are automatically saved to the album on your phone. Share access to the camera with family and friends with tiered privileges.
  • [Dual video storage option] Besides local MicroSD card storage, you can consider cloud storage (subscription needed) or both MicroSD card and cloud storage for critical areas. Recordings can be downloaded to your phone or other smart devices.
  • [Built tough for outdoor with one-year warranty] IP65 water resistant rating, UV resistant coating, and works at various temperatures, -4 ~ 140 °F, or -20 ~ 60 °C. Backed by one-year limited warranty.

I installed this camera just before my vacation to keep an eye on my house while I was out of town. The intensely bright light and it’s sensitivity to catch activity both day and night make my property secure!
I specially chose this dual solar panels powered camera – non stopping recording and no need to worry about charging or changing batteries. Installation was easy, allowing me to put it exactly where I wanted. Even after a few rainy days while I was away, the camera kept working just fine.
The big plus is no subscription fees! So overall, I’d say it’s a good buy!

I’ve been using this camera to monitor my backyard, and it has exceeded my expectations in many ways. Mounted on my shed, which doesn’t have electricity, the solar charging feature is an absolute lifesaver! Having both a camera and a powerful floodlight all powered by the sun makes this a perfect choice for monitoring areas where power sources are limited.

Key Highlights:

No Subscription Required: One of the best things about this camera is that there’s no need for a subscription. That’s a big cost-saver and hassle-free experience compared to other cameras that require monthly fees.

Effortless Installation: Installation was a breeze. All necessary hardware was included, and the process was quick and straightforward. Within minutes, I had it mounted and ready to go.

Weatherproof and Reliable: Rated at IP65, this camera is truly weatherproof. I live in a humid, rainy area, and this camera handles both rain and high humidity like a pro without any issues.

Sharp High-Resolution Video: The 2304 x 1296 video resolution is fantastic. The footage is crystal clear, and I can easily make out details in both daytime and nighttime recordings.

Motion Tracking: The camera’s ability to track moving objects when it detects motion is a fantastic feature. It adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that no movement goes unnoticed.

Bright Floodlight: The 1500-lumen floodlight is incredibly bright and easily illuminates my entire backyard. It provides great visibility, which is perfect for nighttime security.

Solar Panels: My shed is located under large, mature trees, so it doesn’t get much direct sunlight. However, the solar panels come with long cables, allowing me to mount them in an area where they get more exposure to sunlight. Even with just a few hours of sun each day, the panel keeps the camera’s batteries fully charged, which is super convenient—no need to worry about constantly recharging.

Durable Solar Panels: The solar panels have a glass coating, which adds to their durability. Unlike cheaper plastic ones, these won’t degrade over time, which gives me confidence in their longevity.

A Few Minor Drawbacks:

Mounting Options: The camera can only be mounted on a vertical surface. While this works fine for most scenarios, if you plan to mount it on a ceiling or a different angle, you might need an additional L bracket.

Zone Recording: It would be nice to have an option in the app to select specific zones for motion detection. This would allow more control over where the camera focuses its recording after detecting movement.

Limited Cloud Video Duration Options: The cloud video recording options are limited to 5, 10, 20 seconds, or full-time recording. It would be great if there were more duration options available.

Overall Impressions:
Despite a few minor drawbacks, I am extremely happy with this purchase. The combination of solar power, high resolution, motion tracking, and a bright floodlight makes this camera an ideal choice for outdoor security. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and cost-effective security camera solution!

Mounted this in my driveway as both a security camera (quite good) and a floodlight (not so good). Motion detection is quite good. but the light will not come on when triggered, cancelling out the main reason why I bought it. The solar battery stays at about 40% charge, even with the cloudy winter so far. Guess not having the light come on helps that.

I’ve been using this camera setup for a couple months now, and overall, it’s been good. I now have 3 cameras on my property which is acreage with two entrances - so, I am monitoring a small ranch for unwelcome guests and to watch my equipment and cattle. With its 24/7 recording, solar-powered design, and 1500 lumen floodlight, this is a nice camera configuration for my purpose. However, it’s not perfect thus the 4-star rating instead of 5.

Pluses…

-24/7 recording: The continuous recording feature is a major plus. Unlike many cameras that only record when motion is detected, this feature ensures nothing is missed.
-Solar powered: The built-in solar panel is the way to go. It keeps the camera charged without the need for frequent manual recharging or hard wiring. For the most part, it runs smoothly on solar power alone.
-Bright floodlight and siren: The floodlight is quite bright, illuminating the entire main gate area. That with the siren is good - however, it is in the country so not sure it would be a big deterrent. The siren is loud enough to grab attention but only if someone is around.
-360° pan & tilt with 2K resolution: The ability to control the camera’s movement remotely and the 2K footage provide excellent coverage. I can easily monitor large areas.
-Motion-activated notifications and live view/talk: The notifications are timely, and the two-way talk feature is OK. But, I haven’t used it much and don’t think it will be that valuable of a feature. Plus, if it’s windy, the notifications can be a problem picking up on tree movements and I have had to turn it off.
-No monthly fees: Unlike some camera companies that often require subscriptions for full functionality, this one has the essential features without any ongoing costs. This is a big advantage. Plus, you have history on the memory card which you will certainly want to use.

Minuses…

-Setup can be challenging - while the camera itself is great, the initial setup was a bit tricky. The instructions could be clearer, and pairing the camera with the app took longer than expected. It’s not the most intuitive process.
-Occasional connectivity issues: I’ve experienced sporadic WiFi connectivity problems, which sometimes will likely cause delays in notifications or interruptions in the live view. This isn’t a regular issue, but it’s there. That's technology!
-Solar efficiency in low-light conditions: During extended periods of cloudy weather, the solar panel doesn’t charge as efficiently. So far it hasn’t taken the camera down that I have caught, but I have noticed the charge level being low.

Overall, I do like this camera even though it has some limitations compared to another one that I use. For its price and capabilities, it’s a decent buy. Based on these experiences,

I would consider ordering this camera again - although I would shop the features.
